BC Books Online was created for anyone interested in BC-published books, and with librarians especially in mind. We'd like to make it easy for library staff to learn about books from BC publishers - both new releases and backlist titles - so you can inform your patrons and keep your collections up to date.
Our site features print books and ebooks - both new releases and backlist titles - all of which are available to order through regular trade channels. D’origine mixte (crie et écossaise), Monique Gray Smith est une autrice à succès et conférencière qui a remporté de nombreux prix. Ses oeuvres couvrent une large gamme de publics, de sujets et d’émotions. On retrouve dans tous ses écrits et conférences le thème de l’amour comme instrument de guérison. Parmi ses livres, mentionnons Speaking our Truth: A Journey of Reconciliation, J’ai le coeur rempli de bonheur, Tu es là pour moi, Lucy and Lola, Tilly: A Story of Hope and Resilience, Tilly and the Crazy Eights, Nous sommes gentils et J’espère. Monique a également adapté Braiding Sweetgrass de Robin Wall Kimmerer pour les jeunes adultes. Elle vit avec sa famille sur les territoires ancestraux des peuples Lək̓ʷəŋən et WSÁNEC.
D’origine diné (navajo) du clan Kiiyaa’áanii, Nicole Neidhardt a grandi à Santa Fe au Nouveau-Mexique. Elle est titulaire d’un baccalauréat en beaux-arts de l’Université de Victoria et d’une maîtrise en beaux-arts de l’Université OCAD de Toronto. L’identité diné de Nicole est au coeur de sa pratique artistique qui englobe notamment l’illustration, l’installation, les murales et les futurismes autochtones.
