BC Books Online was created for anyone interested in BC-published books, and with librarians especially in mind. We'd like to make it easy for library staff to learn about books from BC publishers - both new releases and backlist titles - so you can inform your patrons and keep your collections up to date.
Our site features print books and ebooks - both new releases and backlist titles - all of which are available to order through regular trade channels. Browse our subject categories to find books of interest or create and export lists by category to cross-reference with your library's current collection.
A quick tip: When reviewing the "Browse by Category" listings, please note that these are based on standardized BISAC Subject Codes supplied by the books' publishers. You will find additional selections, grouped by theme or region, in our "BC Reading Lists."
Toes have long had their place in songs, where they head off to market and enjoy roast beef, but they have been overlooked and underrepresented in children's books.
That's all about to change with this rhyming board book featuring piggledy-wiggledy digits in all their delightful glory. Toesy Toes head to the beach, jump around, take a bath and delight in being one of a baby's most adorable parts. Sarah Tsiang's clever couplets will have little ones reaching for this book come story time, perhaps even with their toes.
"The babies represent various ethnicities and demonstrate delight and curiosity. Little ones will enjoy looking at the smiling faces of babies just like themselves in the pages of this board book. Recommended."
★ "Simple, age-appropriate, and thoughtfully diverse. Exactly what we want in a board book."
"This is sure to be a fun read aloud to babies."
"An adorable board book offering from Orca, that will be sure to delight babies, toddlers, and their parents alike…The photos perfectly represent the text without exception, and each page begs to be acted out by the reader for the sure-to-be-delighted listener. The featured children show a diverse group…and it is nice to see such representation in a preschool-level book. Highly recommended for the littlest of future readers!"
