BC Books Online was created for anyone interested in BC-published books, and with librarians especially in mind. We'd like to make it easy for library staff to learn about books from BC publishers - both new releases and backlist titles - so you can inform your patrons and keep your collections up to date.
Our site features print books and ebooks - both new releases and backlist titles - all of which are available to order through regular trade channels. Browse our subject categories to find books of interest or create and export lists by category to cross-reference with your library's current collection.
A quick tip: When reviewing the "Browse by Category" listings, please note that these are based on standardized BISAC Subject Codes supplied by the books' publishers. You will find additional selections, grouped by theme or region, in our "BC Reading Lists."
Charlie has a bag full of videos he lifted from his dadís closet. Sidneyís on the run from two guys in a pick-up truck. Grandpa Anderson wants to eat something other than potatoes. And Jeffrey just wants a little peace and quiet. These are the Bachelors. Three boys and a grumpy grandfather living together for five days while Jeffreyís mother takes his grandma to the hospital. Throw in a few unexpected--and uninvited--visitors and the kids from karate class have another adventure on their hands. They also have a job to do. Grandpa Anderson might be old and a wee bit crusty, but heís also lonely, scared and not exactly a picture of health himself. It is their job to take care of him, and, with a style that is uniquely their own, they do. The Bachelors continues the story of the three small-town misfits introduced in Frog Face and the Three Boys and One Missing Finger. After learning how to cope with conflict and then young love, Charlie, Sidney and Jeffrey are now learning about self-sufficiency and responsibility.
