All Sam Swallow wants is to join the Little League baseball team. About the Authors

William New is a recipient of the Governor General's Award and his books have won widespread international recognition. He has been appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada for his contributions to Canadian literature. William lives in Vancouver, BC.


Yayo has illustrated many children’s books. He has been nominated for the highly esteemed Governor General’s Award and has won the Mr. Christie’s Book Award. He lives in Montreal, Quebec, with his wife and family.
