About the Authors

Becky Citra is the author of 23 award-winning books for children, including The Way Home and Finding Grace. She lives on a ranch in British Columbia. She spends the winters on Saltspring Island. She is a retired school teacher. She enjoys connecting with children through library and school visits.


Jessica Milne is from the Comox Valley, British Columbia and grew up painting, drawing and taking photographs. She completed a double diploma in Fine Art and Graphic Design in the spring of 1998 from North Island College in Courtenay for which she received the Governor General's Award for outstanding achievement. She went on to the University of Victoria where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with Honours in the fall of 2001. Following her graduation from the University of Victoria, Jessica spent time teaching drawing and painting to adults and taking photographs for weddings.
