Arthur Kruckeberg

Arthur R. Kruckeberg was a renowned Northwest naturalist and a professor of botany at theUniversity of Washington for nearly four decades. His books include Geology and Plant Life, as well as Gardening with Native Plants of the Pacific Northwest.


Linda Chalker-Scott is associate professor of horticulture and extension specialist
at Washington State University. She is a cohost of The Garden Professors
blog and author of numerous books, including The Informed Gardener and How
Plants Work: The Science behind the Amazing Things Plants Do.
