Description

Editorial Reviews

"This adventure story is short and action-packed, sure to keep the attention of readers. It is ideal for intermediate readers of Spanish...A fast read for reluctant readers and ESL students."

— Library Media Connection

"Well-written and intriguing, I read Outback in one sitting. The characters are very well-developed for such a short novel, and I found myself rooting for them at every turn...A fast-paced and enjoyable read for all, but I would definitely recommend this novel for reluctant readers or low level readers."

— Resource Links

"The two youthful main characters are believable and will be relatable for the readership and their adventures will keep their interest from start to finish...This book's applicability is not limited to its intended readership of reluctant middle school and high school readers. Intermediate Spanish classes would also find it a great choice for practice in different tenses and informal speech."

— TriState YA Book Review Committee

"There's...drama and excitement [in this] survival tale."

— The Horn Book Guide

"Compliments to Stevenson who has succeeded in giving readers a vivid picture...A successful, fast-paced adventure story. Recommended."
