What a Hippopota-Mess!

by Pat Lamondin Skene, illustrated by Graham Ross

tagged: humorous
Description

The poems in this book tell stories of animals and nature, from two sweaty hippos, a smiling lizard and some creepy crawlers to a few tricky dandelions. At the end of each poem, find out more in an interview with a key character or a list of fascinating facts.

About the Authors

Pat Lamondin Skene retired from the world of banking to find her voice. She is a Métis author of seven books for children, including What a Hippopota-Mess!, Rhyme Stones and Monster Lunch. Her forthcoming memoir, Swiftly Flowing Waters, shares more stories of her childhood growing up on the Magnetawan River. Pat keeps her imagination fed and watered in Oakville, Ontario.

Graham Ross has grand plans for world domination through his illustrated inventions. Right now he’s having a “ball” hanging out with Billy Sure, the next sure thing! Graham lives in a little log home in the woods with his inventive family, just outside of Merrickville, Canada.
